I love Coke, but …
Don’t drink cola if you want to be healthy. Consuming soft drinks is bad for so many reasons that science cannot even state all the consequences. If you do drink soft drinks, as well as other sugary foods, you need the two products listed at the bottom of this article.
One thing we know for sure is that drinking Coke, as a representative of soft drinks, wreaks havoc on the human organism. What happens? Writer Wade Meredith has shown the quick progression of Coke’s assault.
The main problem is sugar. It’s an evil that the processed food industry and sugar growers don’t want people to know about. Even dietitians, financially supported by sugar growers and sugary product manufacturers, are loathe to tell us the truth. Read more

Dispelling the notion that 3rd Worlders are under achievers…
Third World Genius – A Look at Untapped Talent
When we think of the world’s potential, we tend to only think of the world that we know. We often consider the contributions of so called “first world” countries as being the most important and most significant motivators for progress. Indeed, it sthas historically been these countries that have made the most significant contributions. Below are two maps, distorted to show their contributions to scientific research and patents. http://www.degreescout.com/featured/third-world-genius-a-look-at-untapped-talent
Images such as these clearly show the disparity between the contributions made by developed nations vs. developing nations. Of particular interest though, is that several of the countries with the largest populations contribute only a very small amount to the global knowledge and talent pool. As these countries continue to develop, as their educational systems, economic systems, and governments evolve and become modern, the true potential of the populations of these countries will begin to be more fully realized. The idea of these populous developing countries reaching “developed nation” status, allowing for their populations to realize their potential is truly exciting. To give an idea of the scope of untapped talent in developing countries, let’s take IQ as an example.
In general, the breakdown of IQ is as follows:
Over 140 – Genius or near genius (1 in 261 has this IQ or better) 120 – 140 – Very superior intelligence (one in 11 has this IQ or better) 110 – 119 – Superior intelligence (1 in 4 has this IQ or better) 90 – 109 – Normal or average intelligence (3 of 4 has this IQ or better)
Combating Eczema
How to Stop Eczema Outbreaks: Reduce Itchiness by Managing Hygiene and Stress
Do you have eczema and want to know how to eliminate it? Then, this article is a must read for you. Although eczema cannot be cured or eliminated, it can be drastically reduced if properly controlled. To control your eczema flare-ups from home, without steroids or antibiotics, simply use all natural eczema reduction oils and creams, avoid environmental triggers, and eat a vitamin rich diet.
Effective Eczema Reduction Solution #1: Get an Allergy Test. The easiest way to determine what triggers your eczema is to get an allergy test. There are several types of eczema allergy tests, including blood tests, skin prick tests, and patch tests. If you suffer with eczema, there is no excuse for not at least not getting one, especially if your insurance will cover the expense. Allergy test are extremely helpful because they help you what, if any, foods, clothes, environmental factors, or personal care products trigger your eczema. If you cannot afford allergy testing, try keeping a home journal on everything you eat, wear, and come in contact with. Do this for at least one week; and then analyze the results for possible triggers.
Effective Eczema Reduction Solution #2: Monitor What you Eat. For most people with mild eczema, you need to be wary of citrus fruits, egg whites, tomatoes, & wheat. While this information is not 100% conclusive, keep a diary to see if there is a connection between the foods you eat and your eczema flare-ups. Read more

In an extraordinary outburst in the Western Cape High Court, an advocate swore at the presiding judge and then stormed out of the courtroom.
Advocate Nehemiah Ballem, apparently angry after being questioned by Judge Lee Bozalek about his late appearance, said to the judge in Afrikaans: “Jou ma se p**s, man, f**k you!”
The incident happened during the case of the State versus Godfrey Manxilane on Friday.
Ballem has acted as counsel for the accused in several high profile cases, including the Sizzler’s massacre in 2004; the case of the Elton and Wayne Smith brothers, who murdered marketing strategist Klaas Jonkheid in 2009; and SA Navy serial rapist Tsediso Letsoenya, convicted in 2009 of raping 20 women. New School Year
A fresh new year academic year starts on the 17 Jan 2011. It wil be a a year with great challengers because of our school’s poor performance is the 2010 Grade 12 exam. We only achieved a 61.8% percentage pass rate as opposed to the 83% the previous year.
My Grade 12′s performed as expected in Computer Applications Technology (CAT), with all of them passing, they were a really great group of Learners who tried their best under trying conditions in our delapitated computer lab. 2011 will be the final year that our school offers CAT as a subject because of the old / broken computers that we have at our disposable. I’m confident that my last group of CAT Learners will do as well at the end of this year and give us a 100% pass under trying conditions.
Article: Thinking Beyond the Desktop
Your next PC: thinking beyond the desktop
By Woody Leonhard
With Black Friday a fading memory and Cyber Monday deals still fresh on the Web, visions of a new PC may be dancing in your head.
But before you go out hunting for that shiny new Win7 machine, take a deep breath, sit back, and consider these tips on buying a PC.
The first and most important tip? Ask yourself whether you need another Windows-based desktop — there are some excellent alternatives. In fact, for home computing, Windows is becoming less and less relevant. More of the services and applications we use are on the Web than in our PCs. And there are now many ways to work on the Web that are cheaper, easier, or just more fun than sitting at a desk and staring into a PC screen.
Think mobility for future personal computing
If you are replacing a desktop with another desktop, you should seriously think about going portable. Laptops are more expensive, feature for feature, but any additional cost is more than made up for with convenience. Many businesses, including Windows Secrets, are migrating to notebooks on the desk. The only PC users who still need a desktop are those who regularly upgrade their systems with new components.
One component you might ditch with your next computer is the keyboard. Take, for example, Apple’s iPad — or if you’re a dyed-in-the-wool Windows user, one of the iPad-like tablets that are starting to appear. No, the iPad won’t replace a desktop PC if you’re typically pounding away on a keyboard, but some would find that its greatest redeeming value. For surfing the Web, watching videos, and updating photos and Facebook, the $500 to $829 for an iPad is relatively cheap. And it might keep you happy with that aging desktop for another year or so.
If you’ve decided that upgrading your current desktop PC is no longer cost-effective, think again. To dredge up a well-worn mantra, “Reduce, Re-use, Recycle.” You’ll save money and the environment. Over the years, I’ve upgraded dozens of PCs, always wiping the hard drive in the process and starting with fresh software installs — and in every case, I’ve ended up with a downright decent machine. The trick is to bump the main memory up to at least 2GB and install a fast video card with at least 512MB of on-board video memory. You can do both for about $100. Read more
